COVID
Prenetics was among the first businesses to deliver COVID testing at large scale for enterprises and sporting associations. Avi’s team also spearheaded the creation of a digital health passport to allow safe passage of people into designated areas for events. Roadside drug testing
Avi pioneered a fast and effective roadside test to examine whether drivers in South Africa were Driving Under the Influence of Drugs (DUID). Many drivers tested positive for alcohol, but a substantial 14% of the 269 drivers drug-screened tested positive for drugs only.
